Top tier is devil's food, middle tier is yellow cake, bottom tier is faux (did I fool you?) and the icing is purchased fondant over buttercream. Edible pearls and dusting powder add a shimmer and real ribbon and carnation bunches give it a splash of color. The bride was thrilled! </div><div> </div><div><br />This beach theme wedding cake was made for a mock wedding as part of a class project. Chocolate cake with fudge wash, marshmallow buttercream and graham cracker crumble inside- a smores cake! The outside is covered with handmade marshmallow fondant (guarenteed to taste yummy!) and finished with brown sugar "sand" and real seashells and picket fences.
